Sifu Bill Fong

Bio

Sifu Bill Fong began his Martial Arts training under the tutelage of his Grandfather Gong Wai Fong of the Southern Siu Lum Village Kung Fu systems in his early teens. Afterwards he trained under Master Frank Yee in the Yee’s Hung Ga version of Hung Kuen. Currently he is now continuing his pursuit of the Tang Fong version of the Hung Kuen style.

Through his travels and experiences he has been a very prominent figure within the Martial Arts community and has been associated with major organizations such as: United International Kung Fu Federation, United States Chinese Kuoshu Federation, Eastern United States Kung Fu Federation, Eastern USA Martial Arts Federation, International San Shou Kickboxing Federation, United International Kung Fu Federation of North America.

Sifu Fong has been honored with Hall of Fame inductions in the United International Kung Fu Federation, Eastern USA Martial Arts Federation and World Karate Union. Sifu Fong has also held previous official positions as former Vice-President, United International Kung Fu Federation and former assistant Deputy Secretary-General United International Kung Fu Federation of North America. Through the United States Chinese Kuoshu Federation, he holds the Medal ‘B’ distinction and currently holds the title of Eastern United States Director of the United States Chinese KuoShu Federation (USCKSF).

He is nationally known as a lion dance performer where he actively promotes the traditional style of the lion dance. His team has been participating in many lion dances and has been requested to perform as far as West Virginia, USA. They can be seen regularly during the Chinese new year in the streets of the famous New York City (NYC) Chinatown. He is also teaching this art to people of all cultures and ethnicities thereby giving a greater appreciation for the lion dance and Chinese culture.

Currently, he continues his pursuits and investigations in the traditional Chinese Hung Ga Kuen style.
